Academic Calendar

Important Dates
First Semester Begins
Orientation for new students and commencement of classes for Semester 1.
Mid-Semester Break
No classes. Campus remains open for administrative purposes.
Final Examinations (Semester 1)
Examination period for all Semester 1 courses.
Second Semester Begins
Commencement of classes for Semester 2.
Ramadan Break
Reduced schedule during Ramadan. Special arrangements for prayers and iftar.

Key Policies
Pemba Islamic College maintains a strict policy against plagiarism and academic dishonesty. All work submitted must be original, and proper citation must be provided for any referenced materials. Violations may result in disciplinary action.
Students are expected to dress modestly in accordance with Islamic principles. For male students, this includes covering from navel to knee. For female students, this includes hijab and loose-fitting clothing that covers the body except for face and hands.
Students must maintain at least 80% attendance in each course to be eligible for examinations. Medical emergencies and other valid reasons must be documented and submitted to the student affairs office within one week of absence.

Office Hours
The administration offices are open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday. The college is closed on Fridays and Saturdays, except for Jumu'ah prayer and special events.
